Duration 8 hours
A fascinating day trip to a world-famous cultural landscape. The Wachau region, located in the Danube valley about 80 kilometres west of Vienna, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.
Your personal driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel, then you will drive along the Danube to the World Heritage Region Wachau. The baroque monasteries Stift Göttweig and Stift Melk and the village Dürnstein with its mixture of medieval flair and baroque fashion madness await you.
Then we drive you to Weissenkirchen with its old fortified church and then to Willendorf, where the world-famous Venus, a sculpture from the Paleolithic Age, was found. The Venus of Willendorf is Austria's most famous find and can be admired today in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. On the return journey to Vienna along the Danube you can relax and enjoy the many impressions of the day once again.
